The Tennessee Titans made a couple of roster moves on Friday, but maybe not the ones you would expect. The team officially placed safety Johnathan Cyprien on IR following his diagnosis of a torn ACL, as head coach Mike Vrabel announced on Thursday.
The Titans will meet with four free agent safeties, looking to replace Cyprien’s starting role. Those meeting started today, but no signing has been reported yet. The team did make a few moves today, however.
Tackle Laurence Gibson was signed and tight end Phillip Supernaw was activated after passing his physical.

Additionally, injured defensive lineman Connor Flagel was waived.
Gibson has yet to play in an NFL regular season game, but has spent time with several teams in the league. He fills the gap that John Theus vacated, following his retirement. The 6-6, 300 pound tackle was drafted by the Cowboys in 2015, following 19 starts at Virginia Tech.
