Why I’m excited about the Titans this season

Our theme this week on the SB Nation blogs is why we are excited about our team. There are no shortage of reasons that I am excited about the Titans this season. It starts with having Marcus Mariota in an offense that plays to his strengths. That absolutely wasn’t the case last year. We have already seen some flashes of him looking more comfortable than he did last season. I can’t wait to see him get a full half of run in the preseason game this week against the Steelers.

I am excited about the Titans this season because of Dion Lewis. He has already proven explosive in limited preseason reps. They are going to be able to throw screen passes to him. That sounds simple, but the Titans haven’t had a good screen back in the entire time they have been in Nashville.

I am excited about the Titans because Corey Davis is healthy (knock on wood). We have seen what he is capable of in glimpses. Now he has had a whole offseason with Mariota and should get plenty of game action with him this weekend. The sky is the limit for him.

I am excited about Harold Landry. He has already shown the bend that he was famous for at Boston College. Landry can get home off the edge. He brings a speed element to this team that they haven’t had in a long time.

I am excited about the secondary. This is the best group of guys they have had on the back end of the defense in a very long time.

At the end of the day, I think the Titans have the chance to have a top 10 offense and defense. They haven’t done that in a VERY LONG TIME.
