We didn’t see much from the Titans’ first team on Saturday against the Buccaneers, but what little we did see was encouraging once again. The passing game never really got the chance to get into a rhythm, but we did see opportunities in space for Dion Lewis, Derrick Henry and Taywan Taylor. That alone is a nice development.
On today’s episode of Locked on Titans, we’ll tell you why that excites us. Gone are the days of drawing up plays to Eric Weems and Harry Douglas. It was a simple, common sense approach on Saturday night and the screen game already looks potent.
Additionally, the Titans finally have a check-down guy that can make something out of nothing in Dion Lewis. It’s something the team has been missing for some time and should really make Marcus Mariota’s life a lot easier.
We’ll also discuss some good showings from Jayon Brown, Harold Landry, Sharif Finch and Corey Levin. Make sure you’re subscribed to the podcast on iTunes for daily Titans content.
