Terry McCormick was the first to report that Johnathan Cyprien suffered a season ending injury in yesterday’s practice:
Johnathan Cyprien suffers season ending injury. # Titans

Cyprien suffered an ACL tear per Mike Vrabel in his post practice press conference on Thursday.
The Titans now have a need at safety. The next man up would be Kendrick Lewis, but he was held out of practice with an injury on Thursday. They also have rookie Dane Cruikshank, but I doubt they were counting on him being the full-time starter in week 1.
If there is one bit of upside here, it is that there are actually some viable safety options available. Kenny Vaccaro and Eric Reid are both currently free agents. They would be a huge upgrade over Lewis, Cruikshank or whoever else the Titans might try to run out there at this point. Get one of those guys in here on a 1-year deal and let’s roll, Jon.
