Delanie Walker was unable to finish the Titans day 2 practice with the Buccaneers. According to the reporters on hand, Walker was injured after making a nice catch on a ball thrown by Marcus Mariota. He walked gingerly to the locker room with a trainer and didn’t come back out. It was reportedly his toe that was injured.
The media asked Mike Vrabel about Walker’s injury after practice and at first he said he would let people know, but then he circled back and said that he wouldn’t - no real shock there.
Of course you never want to see a guy like Walker injured, but the good news is we are having this conversation before the second game of the preseason. That means there is plenty of time for him to heal and be 100% for the week 1 game against the Dolphins. Jonnu Smith should get some extra run while Walker is out.
