Will Chris Johnson’s yards from scrimmage record ever be broken?

The NFL blogs theme week this week is all about records. Players from the Titans don’t hold many NFL records, but Chris Johnson did set the single season record for yards from scrimmage back in 2009 with 2,509. How long will that record stand? Will it ever be broken?

It probably will because the only records in sports that will never be broken are Joe DiMaggio’s 56 game hitting streak and Barry Bonds’s 762 career home runs (because people can’t use steroids anymore). With that being said, I wouldn’t be surprised if CJ’s record stands for a while.

Running back by committee has become all the rage in today’s NFL. So few teams have a feature back anymore, and it obviously takes a feature back to get anywhere close to that number. The closest anyone has come to CJ’s record since it happened was Adrian Peterson with 2,314 in 2012.

So what do you think? Will anyone ever eclipse CJ’s 2009?
