Locked on Titans: Looking back at Kenny Britt

Oh what could have been.

On today’s episode of Locked on Titans, Jimmy and I looked back at the career of Kenny Britt. The former first round selection of the Titans possessed all of the ingredients to be special, but he wasn’t ever able to put it all together.

The most frustrating part was that we saw the flashes several times. Britt went over 200 yards against the Eagles in his second season and looked absolutely dominant early on during his third season. Back to back 100 yard games had Britt off and rolling in 2011, but a torn ACL brought that to an abrupt end.

Britt wasn’t the same after that. He struggled with drops on the field and couldn’t seem to stay out of trouble off the field. The Titans parted ways with him after the 2013 season. Britt moved on to find moderate success with the Rams. He is now a Patriot and has a golden opportunity to go title chasing.

As always with Britt, it’s a matter of whether or not he wants it bad enough. He certainly didn’t with the Browns last year, we’ll see what a move to New England does for him.
