Well, it’s almost summer time, so why not have another report that the Titans are for sale? Darren Rovell tweeted some nonsense this morning about the sale of the Panthers being less than expected and it will affect the price that the next team gets. He says that next team is the Titans.
Of course this is not the first time it has been reported that the Titans are for sale. Amy Adams Strunk has said repeatedly that the team is not for sale.
Let’s not forget that this is not the first time it has been reported the team is for sale. Jason La Canfora, who never gets anything right, said a while back that Jon Bon Jovi was going to buy the team. Bon Jovi came out later and denied the report.
For what it is worth, the third of the team that is owned by Susie Adams Smith is for sale, but to acquire that third a person would have to buy a third of KSA Industries- which includes a lot more than just the Titans.
I am not sure what else Amy Adams Sturnk has to do at this point to prove that she is in on owning the team.
She took a lot of ownership in the uniform re-design that just happened. She started that process and was instrumental in every step of the process along the way. Why would she do all of that if she was just going to turn around and sell the team?
At face value, the report from Rovell could be a little bit concerning, but then you remember that Rovell works for ESPN and ESPN is no longer a news organization. They just throw stuff out there to see what sticks.
The organization is in a really good place right now and most a lot of that is because of the work that AAS has put in.
One day we will be past these annual reports of the Titans being on the market.
Of course this report reminds us that we aren’t there just yet.
Lastly, Go Titans!!1 #batmangif
