We don’t even need to look at the various draft grades around the internet, and not just because grading a pick the day after is ludicrous. The real reason we don’t need to look at the grades is because Jon Robinson made the pick. That means it is either going to get graded well or the person doing the grades doesn’t know anything about football. #atsrite
Dan Kadar knows football. Along those lines, he gave the Titans an A- for the Rashaan Evans pick. While A- is slightly lower than the A+ it deserves, we won’t give Kadar too much crap on that one. Here were his comments:
The Titans made a ballsy move getting ahead of the New England Patriots to take Evans. The Titans needed to either get an edge player or a middle linebacker. They sort of get both in Evans. He played a lot on the outside at Alabama and has the physicality to play the middle. Evans is an instant starter for the Titans, and they didn’t have to give up much to get him, surrendering the 125th pick while also getting the 215th in return. New Titans head coach Mike Vrabel will know how to utilize Evans.
Ballsy indeed!
