Mel Kiper’s 2018 NFL Draft best players available day 2

There is still a lot of meat on the bone for the Titans

NCAA Football: Arizona State at Stanford Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

Mel Kiper has released his list of best players available as we enter day 2 of the NFL Draft. There are still plenty of intriguing names on the list for the Titans- including multiple players that were mocked to the Titans in the first round commonly over the last couple of months. Those names include guys like Harold Landry, Josh Sweat and Sam Hubbard.

The good news is they should be able to get a quality pass rusher at #57 (or earlier if Jon Robinson decides to move up again). Kiper calls Landry the best 3-4 pass rusher in this class. NFL teams usually put a premium on that kind of thing, which is what leads me to believe that there is something with his medical evaluation that we don’t know about. I get why that had teams off of him in the first round, but no reason to pass again in the second round.

The other thing we should be keeping an eye on in the second round for the Titans is a wide receiver. We only saw two come off the board last night. This class was lacking top-end talent at that position, but there are still plenty of guys that could come in and help the Titans. We know they did a lot of work on receivers in the process leading up to the draft.
