The Titans did it. They selected Rashaan Evans out of Alabama with the 22nd overall pick after trading up with the Baltimore Ravens. I honestly did not think that the Titans prioritized ILB in the first, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’m not thrilled about the pick, but it is what it is. I’ll say this, his spin move when he’s rushing the passer is nasty.
This is an awesome video of inside the draft room when the Titans called up Rashaan to tell him he was the pick. Very cool moment, and you can see how amped Jon Robinson is to draft him with the little fist pump he gives.
Jon Robinson and Mike Vrabel speak about the pick and about maybe trying to throw teams off by drafting a guy they hadn’t visited with.
See some highlights of Evans from his days at Bama.
Amie Wells interviews Evans just after his selection by the Titans. He says no income tax is huge.
Bucky Brooks gives the Titans an instant grade of a B+.
Picks I hated last night: Josh Allen (horrendous pick, insta-bust), Saqoun Barkley (I like Barkley, but you HAVE to take a QB there, Eli is washed), Rashaad Penny (WAT), Kolton Miller (good luck with Tom Cable coaching that guy), Hayden Hurst (old TE with questionable athleticism).
Picks I loved: Bradley Chubb to Denver (THANK GOD he did not go to Indy), Quenton Nelson to Indy (THANK GOD you aren’t fixing your defense), Josh Rosen to Zona, Derwin James to the Chargers (that defense is going to be great), Lamar Jackson to Baltimore.
Those are my favorites and least favorites, here are NFL.com’s winners and losers.
NFL.com think’s we got one of the best values in the draft.
