Jim Wyatt was able to capture this fantastic moment between Titans’ first round draft pick Rashaan Evans from Alabama and current Titans’ running back Derrick Henry who also played at Alabama:
This is a great moment!
Look, most people, myself included, thought the Titans were moving up to get Harold Landry. That obviously wasn’t the case. My guess is that Jon Robinson was worried the Patriots were going to take Evans so he decided to jump in front of them. It is pretty clear that Evans was his guy much like Jack Conklin was his guy 2 years ago. That worked out pretty well.
I can’t wait to see the plans Mike Vrabel and Dean Peas have for Evans in this defense. He played a lot of outside linebacker at Bama before last year. Could they use him to rush off the edge at times with Jayon Brown on the field on passing downs? They like versatile guys. Evans brings a lot of versatility!
