Friend of the site, Jon Ledyard, has put out his final 2018 NFL mock draft. He has the Titans trading up to #18 with the Seattle Seahawks to acquire Marcus Davenport, EDGE, UTSA. This is the first mock I have seen where the Titans trade up. Jon Robinson loves what he refers to as “draft currency.” That means picks so he has the ability to move around. He doesn’t have much of that currently in the 2018 NFL draft because he only has 6 picks. That is why I find it incredibly hard to see him moving up in this draft.
Here is what Ledyard had to say about the pick:
We’ve seen the Titans move around a lot in recent drafts, and I think Jon Robinson feels that getting a pass rusher or a linebacker is the key to a successful draft for Tennessee. With three linebackers already off the board and five teams in need of a pass rusher between 18 and 25, expect them to be aggressive to land an impact player with upside.
The reasoning there is solid no doubt, but I still don’t see this as something that actually happens tonight. Do you agree?
