The Titans will release DeMarco Murray, ending a mostly positive 2 year stint with the Titans. 2016 saw Murray revive the Titans rush attack to become the third leading rusher in the NFL, and help improve the locker room. 2017 was less kind to Murray, and the coaching staff did him no favors, marching him out even when clearly ineffective. Murray was the first move of JRob’s career if I remember correctly and man was it a good one. I wish DeMarco the best moving forward, and hope he finds a team that appreciates him as much as we did. Farewell DeMarco, its been real, its been nice, and it was actually real nice.
The release of Murray seemingly opens the door for Derrick Henry to start for the Titans. While I’d expect for his share of the carries to go up, I would also expect a pass catching back to be a big part of the offense next year, be it a vet like Jerrick McKinnon or a rookie like a Sony Michel.
The Titans did not make Matt Harmon’s top landing spots for Allen Robinson, but if we were to get him, this offense would assuredly be a top 10 unit next year.
Lance Zierlein, friend of Trevor, has the Titans selecting Isaiah Oliver with the 25th pick in the draft. I’d find this really hard to believe if Jaire Alexander is still on the board.
Tajae Sharpe (remember that guy) and Marcus Mariota (remember him?) are working out together in LA this offseason, building some chemistry. This is a really smart move on Tajae’s part, as there is an opening for him to become an impact player in this offense.
