Titans release Karl Klug

New, comments

It’s a sad day!

NFL: Tennessee Titans at Pittsburgh Steelers Philip G. Pavely-USA TODAY Sports

This one hurts a little bit! The Titans have released Karl Klug. He has become a fan favorite after the Titans drafted him in the 5th round back in 2011. Most people thought he wouldn’t be re-signed when the Titans switched from a 4-3 to a 3-4, but KLUUUUUUUG proved those people wrong.

One of the knock’s on Klug coming out of Iowa was that his arms were too short. That prompted a lot of hilarious posts on the internet like this one. Gramsey and I bowled with Klug at an event one time and asked him if he had seen the pictures. He said he had and thought they were really funny. He’s a good dude.

Klug ends his Titans’ career with 21.5 sacks. He had seven of those sacks in his rookie campaign. Hopefully he will be able to find work quickly because he can still be an effective pass rusher- most likely as a defensive tackle in a 4-3.
