Adam Schefter is reporting that Donte Moncrief will sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars:
Former Colts' WR Donte Moncrief intends to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars, per source. Staying in AFC South.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 13, 2018
The Jaguars are winning free agency for the 3rd straight year. They better get a Super Bowl in the next couple of years because all of these deals are going to put them in salary cap jail eventually.
It is also interesting to me that Jacksonville has spent a bunch of money on wide receivers today. They have a terrible quarterback and are in a run-first offense. They also have some talented young receivers in DeDe Westbrook and Keelan Cole. Oh, and their quarterback is terrible.
Moncrief is coming off of a terrible year where he caught just 26 passes for 391 yards and 2 touchdowns. He found it a little harder to put up numbers with Jacoby Brissett throwing him the football.
He was a third round pick for the Colts back in 2014. His best season was 2015 when he caught 64 for 733 yards and 6 touchdowns.
