Josina Anderson of ESPN tweeted earlier that Richard Sherman told her the Titans were one of the teams initially interested in the free agent cornerback’s services:
I spoke to Richard Sherman last night, he told me after being informed of his release by the #Seattle Seahawks, he has received preliminary interest from the #49ers, #Titans, #Lions, #Raiders, #Texans, #Bucs and #Packers. https://t.co/QtAB9T3sOt

Before those of you who are pro-Sherman get too excited, Adam Schefter had this report:
So San Francisco is first up on former Seahawks’ CB Richard Sherman’s visit list - and there’s a real chance it’s his last visit, too.

The San Francisco 49ers have over $70 million in cap space. They will be able to win a bidding war against any team for any player, and that is going to be a popular destination for guys with Jimmy Garoppolo, Kyle Shanahan and their emergence at the end of the 2017 season.
I said my piece on Sherman here, but in summary, I don’t think a 30 year old corner who was already in decline who is now coming off an Achilles injury that happened in November is really going to be able to come in and help this team. I get that he will still be better than LeShaun Sims right now, but there is more to it than just that.
However, there are a lot of you out there that would be in favor of the Titans signing him, so there is at least a little something for those who are in that camp.
