The Titans will be spending a lot of time on the interior lineman in this draft. Both of their starting guards from 2017 are free agents- Josh Kline (unrestricted) and Quinton Spain (restricted). Even if they were to re-sign both of them, which is unlikely, they will still probably look to add a guy to bring in for competition.
That brings us to Auburn guard Braden Smith. He said on Thursday that he has met with the Tennessee Titans at the NFL combine. Smith does seem like the prototypical guy that the Titans will be looking to feature in their new offense. Here is part of his interview from the combine via Paul Kuharsky on Twitter:
Mike Vrabel told the story earlier in the week about recruiting Smith while he was at Ohio State. Obviously Vrabel didn’t win that battle. Will he and Jon Robinson try to get Smith this time?
