Titans defensive coordinator Dean Pees to stay overnight in Indianapolis hospital

NFL: Tennessee Titans-Minicamp Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Dean Pees had to leave the game and go to the hospital in the first quarter of today’s game. He is doing OK according to Mike Vrabel (via ESPN’s Turron Davenport):

“Dean is doing OK,” Titans coach Mike Vrabel said. “They took him to the hospital and evaluated him. They’re going to keep him overnight for some tests, but everything that I’ve heard as of now has been very positive. He should make a full recovery and be fine after whatever he had going on upstairs [in the coach’s box].”

It is good to hear that Pees should be OK.

This has been such a bizarre season for the Titans. They have had so many weird things happen to them it is really unbelievable.

The defense obviously struggled today, but it is hard to say how much of that was due to the fact that Vrabel was calling the plays instead of Pees. It certainly didn’t help that the offense couldn’t stay on the field.
