Kevin Duffy of the Boston Herald is reporting that Rob Gronkowski is likely out tomorrow against the Titans. This doesn’t come as a huge surprise considering he was called week to week earlier this week. The Patriots are going to run away with their division, so they have the luxury of being able to hold him out to make sure he is 100% for the stretch run. That must be nice.
This simplifies things a little for Dean Pees and the Titans defense. The Patriots have so many weapons to account for. You can narrow that a little bit with Gronk not on the field. He had a line of 6/81/1 in the playoff game last year.
Remember the hype train we tried to start when the Titans beat the Eagles? That thing is going to get rolling a little bit again if they can win here. Gronk being out makes that seem a little more plausible for me.
