You aren’t going to find a better break down of what Marcus Mariota will look like in a Matt LaFleur offense anywhere.

My biggest takeaway is that the offense will look the same whether they are running or passing. That will make the play action game even better than it was last season- and it was really good last season. They just didn’t run it enough.

The other takeaway that I had there is that they will do a lot of fundamental work with Mariota. Greg Cosell said on The Midday 180 earlier this month that the biggest problem he saw with Mariota this year was footwork fundamentals. Cosell also said that LaFleur will be a great teacher with those fundamentals. I cannot wait to see it all come together!
