Titans offensive coordinator candidate, former Detroit Lions QB Coach Brian Callahan, has reportedly accepted the same position with the Oakland Raiders, where he’ll work with offensive coordinator Greg Olson under head coach Jon Gruden.

Albert Breer confirmed #CanConfirm’s report not long thereafter.
Per source, the Raiders are hiring Brian Callahan as their new quarterbacks coach. Ex-Lions QBs coach also interviewed with Titans and Jets.

One interesting tidbit from Wolf that followed his initial tweet:
To clarify: #Titans interviewed Brian Callahan for OC, but did not extend an offer, per sources. https://t.co/Ai8hAhUHQs

It appears that Callahan took the offer that was on the table from the Raiders versus waiting for a potential offer that may or may not have come from the Titans...
Mike Vrabel is certainly taking his time in his search for coordinators. This would seemingly imply that there are legitimate candidates currently preparing their teams to play in the Super Bowl.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo, or “Coach Flip,” seems to be the fan favorite for offensive coordinator. His contract will reportedly expire after the Super Bowl.
On the defensive side, could Vrabel possibly be waiting to interview New England Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores? Flores interviewed for the Arizona Cardinals head coaching position and is the likely candidate to replace Matt Patricia as the Patriots defensive coordinator. And perhaps there are other coaches of interest.
If you believe the reports, the Titans didn’t offer Brian Callahan a job. It doesn’t mean they weren’t going to, but it’s also no reason to panic. The Titans are being patient with this process. We should be patient, too.
