Resetting the Titans coaching staff search

What do we know?

NFL: Tennessee Titans-Press Conference Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

After a few days of news coming in non-stop with who Mike Vrabel was talking to about joining his staff with the Titans, the news has gone silent. Let’s recap what we know so far:

After it was announced that Ryan Day would be staying at Ohio State, the Brian Callahan was interviewed for the Titans’ offensive coordinator guy. Callahan, the son of former Oakland Raiders’ head coach Bill Callahan, is said to have interest from other teams including the New York Jets and New York Giants.

The Titans also interviewed Tyrone McKenzie at the Senior Bowl. McKenzie was the Rams’ special teams coach in 2017. The same linked tweet says that the Titans also interviewed former Raiders’ WR coach Rob Moore.

Cameron Wolfe reported that Vrabel is interested in bringing in Shane Bowen from the Texans’ staff. Obviously they were together last year with the Texans.

Vrabel was on the Midday 180 earlier today and said he is still working on making sure he gets the right staff together. I can respect that. Hopefully part of that right staff is John DeFilippo as the offensive coordinator.

All that we know about the staff so far is that Kerry Coombs will be a part of it in some capacity.
