So many things happened on Monday. Mike Vrabel gets officially introduced as the Titans’ 5th Head Coach in franchise history. Amy Adams Strunk dresses like a nun. Dick LeBeau is let go. Terry Robiskie is let go. Ryan Day turns down the offensive coordinator job. Brian Callahan is let go by the Lions.
I was surfing the twitter-verse last night when I stumbled on the quote below. I think this was pretty apparent after watching the press conference in which Vrabel was overflowing with confidence (which IMO is a really good thing).
3) Someone who played with new #Titans HC Mike Vrabel said “he’s an alpha among alphas.”

Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Network sat down with Mike Vrabel and asked him what is one thing he learned from Bill Cowher and Bill Belichick that he took with him in coaching. He mentions special teams importance as well as the need to be able to let players go (here’s looking at you, Demarco).
Mel Kiper made a mock draft at Gramsey’s request and has the Titans selecting Harold Landry out of Boston University. I can say right now, that if we were to draft Landry at 25, I’d be elated as the need for pass rush is very real for the Titans.
Joe Rexrode, who thinks that the Titans made a mistake in firing Mularkey, says that Vrabel impressed in the press conference. What I really like about this article is the picture of Lewan joking around with Vrabel. The players are gonna love playing for Mike, and I think he’s going to put them in positions to succeed, which the staff before did a terrible job of doing.
Getting Marcus comfortable in an offense that suits his strengths is priority #1 and Vrabel understands that.
