Titans Links: It’s Good to be Back

Your daily dose of Titans news!

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Oh man have I missed this place. After a two year sabbatical, I am back to bring you (week)daily linkage for your link fix.

Lets get down to the nitty gritty, it’s time to get this show on the road with linko numero uno (Scott from HQ is the worst).

The Titans are in the midst of a coaching search if you haven’t heard already and they interviewed Mike Vrabel and Steve Wilks yesterday. Both candidates are of the defensive background. Out of those two, Vrabel is my preference, but I wouldn’t be heartbroken if we went with Wilks. Matt LaFleur interviews today, and he is a guy I am really excited about. He certainly comes with risk, but the success that has followed him everywhere he’s gone is impressive. I think hiring someone from the Kyle Shanahan coaching tree would fit Marcus’ skills to perfection, but I also understand there are 52 other guys on the roster we need to worry about.

Cameron Wolfe writes that the pressure is on Jon Robinson now that Mike Mularkey has been effectively fired. I agree and I think that sometimes you have to “risk it for the biscuit” per say and JRob wants to go big or go home. If you aren’t trying to win championships in the NFL, then what is the point, and I think our leadership definitely understands that mindset.

James Wyatt of Titans Online looks ahead to year two for the draft class of 2017. I expect big things out of our first five draft picks, which is a testament to the job Jon Robinson has done in just two years as the lead man in Nashville.

Like I said at the beginning of this post, I’m really glad to be back in the MCM community again and doing links. Have a great weekend everybody!
