Football Outsiders (via ESPN In$ider) ranked the schedules of all 32 NFL teams. The Titans came in 29th meaning they have the 4th easiest schedule in the league per the DVOA metric. Here were their comments:
The Titans have tough games against the Raiders and Seahawks in the first three weeks, but they host both games in the friendly confines of Nissan Stadium. Tennessee's games against the three lesser teams of the NFC West are all back-loaded on the schedule, coming in Weeks 14-16. It's likely the Titans will choose to stay on the West Coast between the Week 14 game in Arizona and the Week 15 game in San Francisco.
September is going to be an interesting month. As mentioned, the Titans have 2 tough games at home. They also play the Jaguars and Texans on the road. Both of those teams have bad offenses, but both should be really good on defense. The Titans need to win 3 of those games to set themselves up in the AFC South.
