Mike Mularkey said after practice today that Corey Davis will not play in the Titans week 3 game against the Seahawks. I did not get to hear the press conference, but I wonder if anyone asked Mularkey why Davis was in the game on the final drive last Sunday. It seems really weird that he would be out there for that but already be ruled out for Sunday. I speculated earlier today that Davis’s hamstring was a concern. Apparently I was right.
Mularkey also said DeMarco Murray is still day to day with his hamstring injury. He did not practice today. I would be surprised if he is active this week, but it is really tough to figure out what they are doing.
Aaron Wallace, who was placed on IR earlier today, will have back surgery. He is not necessarily out for the year, however. The Titans can bring one player back after placing him on IR. Wallace is a candidate for that for now.
