It is being reported today that the Titans have placed Aaron Wallace on IR with a back injury. The corresponding roster move the Titans made was to promote WR Zach Paschal from the practice squad. Paschal was signed by the Redskins as an undrafted free agent this spring. The Titans signed him to the practice squad after Washington cut him right before the season started.
The fact that Paschal was elevated leads me to believe that they are concerned about Corey Davis’s hamstring. We will get a better idea of that today when we learn if Davis was able to practice or not.
The move also frees up a spot for another OLB to be active on game day. As Paul Kuharsky pointed out, this will tell us how they rank Kevin Dodd and Josh Carraway. My guess is that Carraway gets the nod in part because he can contribute on special teams. That would be a terrible sign for Dodd, but I would say the writing is already on the wall for him being inactive the first two games.
