Mike Mularkey said at his Monday press conference that both Corey Davis and DeMarco Murray are dealing with slight hamstring issues and are day-to-day. We will have to keep an eye on practice reports this week to see where both guys are. It is encouraging that Davis was back out on the field at the end of the game yesterday.
The question was brought up about who the starting running back is when both guys are healthy. Mularkey said he still considers Murray the starter. He also pointed out that having two guys that can run the football is a very good thing.
I wouldn’t expect him to say anything different at this point. What the real story will be is who gets the most snaps on Sundays.
Mularkey also said that Johnathan Cyprien will miss this week’s game against the Seahawks. That is no surprise. He said last week that Cyp would probably miss a month with his hamsting injury.
