Paul Kuharsky gets asked to take day off from Midday 180 after run-in with Blaine Bishop on The Wake Up Zone

So not to long ago there was a big restructure on 104.5 The Zone (The Titans flagship station) here in Nashville. Blaine Bishop was moved from the afternoon show, 3HL, to the morning show, The Wake Up Zone, after it was announced that Frank Wycheck was stepping away from the morning show. Paul Kuharsky joins The Wake Up Zone for an hour every Tuesday at 8 central. It is always eventful, but this morning it went to a whole new level.

Blaine Bishop took issue with the fact that the Nashville Scene had done an article on PK’s new venture, PaulKuharsky.com, while no one had ever done an article on his transition to the media with radio and his blog. That inspired this heated exchange when Kuharsky came in for his regular hour on The Wake Up Zone this morning. Blaine evidently left after the exchange.

I don’t have much to say about the argument other than I am surprised that Kevin Ingram and Mark Howard let it go on as long as they did.

Then came this tweet from Kuharsky right before he was supposed to go on the air with his show, The Midday 180 (the best show on local sports radio):

It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.
