Mike Mularkey said at his press conference today that safety Johnathan Cyprien will miss several weeks with a hamstring injury per Jim Wyatt. Cyprien had a rough debut with the Titans on Sunday. Now he will have to wait a few weeks before getting back out there.
Da’Norris Searcy will step in for Cyprien. Searcy has been solid in his 3 seasons with the Titans. He is an upgrade in coverage from Cyprien but a downgrade in what was expected from Cyp in run support.
Mularkey also said that he expects to have LeShaun Sims back for the game against the Jaguars. Sims missed week 1 after suffering a groin injury in practice the week leading up to the game.
The Titans won’t need as much from their secondary against the Jaguars- especially with the news that Allen Robinson tore his ACL yesterday.
