Mularkey: Corey Davis is “Week to Week” with Hamstring Injury

We have an update.

Titans head coach Mike Mularkey updated the situation of Corey Davis on 104.5 The Zone Friday evening. Mularkey told the 3HL crew that the 2017 5th overall pick would be “week to week.”

Davis injured his hamstring yesterday in practice. He left the field with trainers and underwent an MRI today. I suppose the news of Davis not being out for a longer period of time is good news, but still — hamstring injuries are tough recoveries. They tend to linger.

It’s extra tough for the Titans here, because by all accounts Davis was really coming along nicely. This will just eat into his reps in practice and potentially keep him out of game action in the preseason. It’s a tough situation, but the Titans have to be cautious here with their investment.

There’s a reason Eric Decker and Taywan Taylor were brought in. Their depth is a nice asset to have, especially right now.
