Titans begin roster cuts; Waive Jeremy Boykins and Mekale McKay

The Titans have until Saturday to trim their roster from 90 to 53 (a reminder that this year there is only 1 cut down date instead of 2). They got a jump start on that today by waiving (injured) CB Jeremy Boykins and WR Mekale McKay per Jim Wyatt. I was really bummed when McKay got hurt because he was a guy that was pretty impressive one of the days I was out at practice. He had the looks of a guy we could have fallen in love with during the preseason.

The Titans are on their way to Kansas City right now to take on the Chiefs in Thursday night’s preseason finale. I would expect at this point that no more moves will be made until they return home on Friday.

This time of year is always exciting because football is almost here, but it also sucks to see so many guys be out of a job.
