Titans RB DeMarco Murray was sidelined earlier in training camp because of an injured hamstring. He returned to practice last week, but did not play in the second preseason game against the Panthers. Mike Mularkey said after practice today that Murray will play in the game Sunday against the Bears. He did not commit to how much playing time Murray or any of the other starters would get, but he did mention that it is important to have them come back after halftime to get ready for the regular season.
Mularkey was asked if there would need to be a conversation with Derrick Henry now that Murray is back. He said there wouldn’t be because Henry understands his role.
Eric Decker and Corey Davis both missed practice again today. I really doubt we see either of those guys for the remainder of the preseason. Mularkey had said something earlier this week that led people to believe that Davis would go in the 4th game, but he has since backed off of that. I don’t think getting him out there for the 4th game is that crucial at this point. The biggest thing he needs is time with Marcus Mariota, but Mariota probably won’t play in that 4th game.
