Last night on MCM Radio (listen here), Terry and I had a pretty extensive discussion about the final 53-man roster. Most of the discussion centered around the receiver position, and there are a couple of really good articles you can read here and here if you want to know more about that.
Another guy that came up in the discussion was Kalan Reed. He is a guy that seems like he has been around the ball a lot this preseason. Then I came across this on Twitter this morning:
Kalan Reed has been targeted 10 times in preseason, has allowed 20 yards. @PFF_Mike— Sam Monson (@PFF_Sam) August 22, 2017
So my eyes haven’t been deceiving me. Reed has been really good this preseason.
I don’t see anyway he doesn’t make this roster at this point. You have Logan Ryan, Adoree Jackson, Brice McCain and LeShaun Sims that are locks to make the roster, but they are going to need more than 4. Reed has proved that he deserves a spot at a position where they still really aren’t all that deep.
