Corey Davis has been sidelined for two weeks after sustaining a pesky hamstring injury during practice. Because of this, we’ve yet to see the fifth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft take a live snap this preseason. We weren’t even sure if we would get to see him at all before the regular season.
But head coach Mike Mularkey offered a glimmer of hope for us on Sunday afternoon.

Sounds like they’ll keep Davis off the field this week, or perhaps even let him do some light work to get back into the swing of things. It’s just good to hear that he’s progressing. Hamstring injuries can really linger around, especially for receivers.
If you think the hype train is full after yesterday’s performance, just wait until the world sees the offense with Eric Decker, DeMarco Murray and Corey Davis. We may have to wait until week one of the regular season to see the total package, but I’ll bet it’s worth the wait.
