Frank Wycheck taking the year off from Titans Radio; Dave McGinnis to fill in

Frank Wycheck announced on The Wake Up Zone here in Nashville this morning that he is taking the year off from his color commentating duties on Titans Radio. Wycheck has been pretty honest about the struggles he has as the result of multiple concussions he had while playing football. It was really good to hear him back on the radio this morning.

Paul Kuharsky is reporting that Dave McGinnis will replace Wycheck this season. McGinnis was with the Titans from 2004-2011. He will be a great compliment to Mike Keith, who is the best play-by-play man in all of radio.

Wycheck has been with Titans Radio since the 2005 season. He is really fun to listen to during the games because he doesn’t hold anything back. Wycheck said he hopes to be back in 2018.

Here’s to hoping the time off does Wycheck some good and he is able to come resume his duties in ‘18.
