Every Titans fan’s favorite reporter, Pete Prisco, predicted the entire NFL schedule today. The good news is that he predicted the Titans to win the AFC South for the first time since 2008, the bad news is that he predicts a tight finish in the division and for the Titans to end up with the same record they ended up with last season.
Here is how Pete predicted the division to end up:
Titans 9-7
Texans 8-8
Colts 7-9
Jaguars 7-9
You can see his full predictions including scores here.
Prisco’s scenario leaves the Titans hosting the Raiders in the first round of the AFC playoffs. While that result would give Titans fans the AFC South Division title, I think a 9-7 finish would be relatively disappointing for the fan base. He goes on to predict the Titans to beat the Raiders before losing on the road to the Patriots in the division round of the playoffs. He has the Patriots going on to beat the Packers to win a second straight Super Bowl.
Last year Prisco picked the Jaguars to win the AFC South and had the Titans finishing 4-12 so his track record is...um...not great. Another notable miss for him was picking the Falcons to go 5-11 and finish last in the NFC South. He did have the Patriots pegged as the AFC Champs, but picked them to lose in the Super Bowl to the Packers.
We know the Titans have not been one of his favorite teams in the past but the fact that even Prisco has the Titans winning the AFC South should tell you just how big the hype train has gotten. What do you think of Pete’s predictions?
