The Jets quarterback situation is a mess. That is why it is really important that the Titans revamped secondary come out and look revamped. But with that being said, they do have to pick a guy to start the game at quarterback. Well, apparently Todd Bowles isn’t prepared to do that just yet:
Todd Bowles won't say who the Jets starting QB will be in preseason opener v Titans. Says all 3 QBs will play. "They're all pretty even now"

The 3 options are Christian Hackenberg, Josh McCown and Bryce Petty. Those names don’t exactly strike fear in the heart of opposing defensive coordinators. McCown has the best NFL resume of the 3. He had a nice year for the Browns in 2015 when he threw for 2,109/12/4 that year.
Petty had a prolific college career at Baylor, but had thrown 3 touchdowns against 7 interceptions in his career.
Hackenberg has yet to throw a pass in the NFL after being drafted in the 2nd round last year. Will that change this year? Not if he can’t figure out how break a huddle!
