Titans 2017 training camp day 4 news and recap

NFL: Tennessee Titans-Training Camp Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

The news continues to be good on the Marcus Mariota movement front. Jim Wyatt says that Mariota had his best day of camp so far today. He notes how well Mariota looked when rolling out. The offense as a whole had a nice bounce back day after a sloppy day yesterday.

Here’s something to note- You aren’t seeing people at practice tweet out Mariota’s completion percentage in practices this year. That might seem like a minor thing, but it isn’t. Our reporters have felt the need to do that every year since 2006. This is a big step in the right direction.

The hit of the day was delivered by Johnathan Cyprien. He laid Jonnu Smith out after making a catch. Smith hung on.

The offensive line and defensive line squared off in 1 on 1 battles for the title belt. Jurrell Casey beat Quenton Spain. That was the only win for the defensive line. That shouldn’t come as a huge surprise as the Titans have one of the best offensive lines in the league. There is no word on whether or not Jack Conklin received help in his match-up against Derrick Morgan, but Geoff Schwartz probably thinks he did.

The Titans hosted kids from the Special Olympics at today’s practice. I love seeing stuff like this:
