Colts’ GM Chris Ballard announced today that Andrew Luck will begin training camp on the PUP list. Keep in mind that the training camp PUP list isn’t nearly as strict as the regular season PUP. Luck can return to camp as soon as he is healthy, but it gives the Colts the ability to carry an extra player for now. Ballard did say that Luck has begun throwing.
This is going to be a story to keep an eye on. With a healthy Luck the Colts are the Titans biggest competition in the AFC South, but without Luck they are one of the worst teams in the league. That won’t be the case for long now that they have a competent GM, but right now the roster is pretty bad.
I guess this makes Scott Tolzien the #1 quarterback on the roster right now. That doesn’t exactly strike fear in opposing defensive coordinators.
