Matthews says Marcus Mariota texted #Titans WRs today about getting back to Nashville a week before camp for extra work. @SiriusXMNFL

It is always good to hear that your quarterback is organizing workouts with his receivers. That will allow them to build some chemistry and hit the ground running when training camp starts.
I didn’t hear this interview, but I am interested to hear what the question was that Rishard Matthews was asked. Corey Davis will eat into his targets a little bit, and will eventually be the “#1 receiver,” but the Titans will need both guys to be really good to win football games. There is no need to manufacture a controversy here. Matthews did a good job of diffusing that.
Marcus Mariota is going to have some nice, new shiny toys to play with this season in Davis, Taywan Taylor, Eric Decker and Jonnu Smith. It will be interesting to see how the targets are divided up between all of these guys in addition to the studs that were already here in Matthews and Delanie Walker.
Man, this offense has a chance to be really fun to watch.
