Paul Kuharsky said on his Periscope today that he thinks the Titans will meet today to discuss Eric Decker, who was cut by the New York Jets yesterday. Decker missed most of the season last year after injuring his shoulder in the first month of the season. He had a great year in 2015 posting 80/1,027/12.
There has been a lot of talk about Decker and Jeremy Maclin after both were cut in the last week. Maclin and Decker would both be upgrades over guys like Tajae Sharpe and Harry Douglas, but you have to balance that with the development of Corey Davis and Taywan Taylor. Those guys are the future of the passing game here, so while it probably would be a good idea to kick the tires on one of them, there is no shot they are bringing in both.
I doubt either end up signing with the Titans, but my money would be on Decker if one of the two does. There will be less of a market for him, so the Titans could give him a shorter term deal with less money than what Maclin will get.
Side note: Decker was in Nashville on Monday for game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals:
