Remember when Derrick Henry missed the start of the
mandatory voluntary offseason work? He says himself that he should have handled it differently, but he was just focused on school, and wanted his training to be right so he was ready when he came back to the team. He said they "settled the differences" and they are "all good" and that he's happy to be working with the guys on his team. Mularkey said the whole thing could have been avoided with a simple phone call, but said that he spoke with Henry, and he thinks he understands that now. Henry said he promised his family he would get his degree, and so he is just trying to get that out of the way as quickly as he can.
Wyatt offers up three quick notes from yesterday's OTAs. #MariotaWatch Mariota increased his workload, and took part in some limited snaps in team drills. Mariota had been limited to 7-on-7 drills in the first two weeks, so this is definitely a big step in the right direction. Dick LeBeau had some things to say about Adoree' Jackson. Good things. He said Jackson is faster than fast, he has a really good knack for the ball, and he has "tremendous burst." The Titans held their annual "Titan Up for Tots" yesterday. They packed 1,500 diaper bags full of diapers and full of baby items for at-risk mothers (my wife and I will gladly take any extra diapers that may be lying around...just sayin').
Quick Hit: Derrick Henry is ready for year two.
Karl Klug is still recovering from having surgery done on his left Achilles, and is currently not participating in OTAs. Lately he has been working on running, and taking off from his stance. Dude's actually been running sprints for the past two weeks now. His goal is to be back on the field by training camp, and that he is definitely looking forward to getting back on the field with his teammates.
That's all for today. Happy reading!
