Pro Football Focus ranked the NFL rosters as they currently stand using their grades from last season. They took each position into account, giving that position a grade and coming up with an overall rank.
They ranked the Titans 3rd.
Interestingly enough, this was without Eric Decker in the lineup. The strength of the roster was almost exclusively along the offensive line. Jurrell Casey, Brian Orakpo, Logan Ryan and Johnathan Cyrien also received high marks. You can view the entire (insider) piece here.
PFF ranked Marcus Mariota as just the 24th best quarterback last season, which is crazy. Added weapons should help that ranking, though there is no way 23 quarterbacks are better than Mariota.
They said that Phillip Supernaw was the weakest link for the Titans on offense, which I can get with. But I do believe Jonnu Smith will take that job sooner rather than later.
This is probably a touch high for the Titans in my book, but what do you guys think?
