ESPN did a big post talking about one player that has the most to prove for each team in the NFL. Paul Kuharsky did the Titans portion, and he selected Kevin Dodd. Here are his comments:
It's only Dodd's second season, but he didn't show much as a rookie before heading to injured reserve with lingering issues from summer foot surgery on a stress fracture. He has been dealing with issues connected to the foot in the offseason. The Titans need a reliable third edge guy after starters Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan. Dodd needs to show he's that guy, or they might need to put it atop their list of needs in a year.
Dodd is really the only blemish on Jon Robinson’s draft record to this point. That’s not entirely fair because Dodd hasn’t been healthy to prove whether or not he can actually play, but at some point we have to see something from him on the field.
The other part of this, as PK mentioned, is that the Titans have no depth behind their two starters on the EDGE. They really need Dodd to contribute in 2017.
