OTAs have begun! Whoo! whoo. Phase three of the offseason program began yesterday. It was the first of 10 OTAs scheduled. It is the beginning of things going in motion. Mularkey said this is the first time the offense and defense can compete, and that it will be good for the team to have competition on the field again. Mularkey also said he is ready to go, and the players are too. Casey says the team is where they left off last year, and that this year has a different feel than in years past. Ben Jones says the team is ready to turn things up a notch.

Quick Hit: Mariota was limited at OTAs, but happy with his recovery.

Wyatt gives us three quick notes from yesterday's OTAs. A year ago DeMarco Murray was new to the team, and still getting familiar with his teammates, and the offense. Now he begins year two with the team, and it is a new feeling to him. Quinton Spain likes to be shirtless now. He likes to take his shirt off when he's having a good time out in public. Injury updates! Dodd, Klug, and Sylvester Williams did not work out in drills yesterday.

Marcus practiced at yesterday's OTAs, and his presence was known. Mainly because the defense was giving him a hard time. Orakpo said they would yell things like, "Stay away from 8! That's the franchise. That's the golden child!" But he said it was all in good fun, and that they always give him a hard time. Mariota said it felt great to be back on the field, and that four months ago he wasn't even sure he'd be able to practice at OTAs. Mularkey said they will continue to take it day by day with Marcus, and that they know he wants to do more, and that he looks like he can do more, but there's still time.
