Our long national nightmare is finally over! Derrick Henry has reported to Titans voluntary workouts per Jim Wyatt (also later #canconfirmed by Vicente Padilla on Twitter). This should finally put this ridiculous story behind us.
The chatter here had gotten so out of control that Blaine Bishop was suggesting on 3HL that Henry wasn’t here because the Titans were probably going to trade him.
Again, there should have been communication between Henry and Mike Mularkey about the fact that Henry wouldn’t be here for the first couple of days because he (Henry) was taking classes at the University of Alabama.
Titans RB coach Sylvester Croom #confirmed that Henry reported in shape:
“He looks great, is moving well and seems to be in very good shape for this time of the year,” Croom said of Henry. “It’s obvious he’s been doing a whole lot of work in the time he’s been away.
“There is no problem with Derrick. The guy was in school, he is here now, and he is working. So we are moving forward from there.”
The season can’t get here soon enough.
