If you haven’t seen any of Adoree’ Jackson’s answers from the introductory post-draft press conference, or from his one-on-one with Amie <3 Wells, or his appearances on various programs (such as the Rich Eisen Show or the Doug Gottlieb Show on Fox Sports Radio), you are really missing out.
Luckily for you, I’ve decided to make a super-cut of Jackson’s best answers:
What I love about Jackson’s personality, completely separate from his abilities on the field, is multi-fold... He clearly embodies the true team-first mentality that Jon Robinson has zeroed in on while constructing this Titans roster. He’s humble, smart with his money, and I really respect his open-mindedness and willingness to see things from others’ point of view. Plus he’s hilarious!
One interesting nugget is how Adoree’ discusses his desire to focus on honing his defensive technique first and foremost before taking on the challenges of playing offense, though it seems his use on special teams is already a given.
I think it’s pretty funny when Adoree’ misinterprets Paul Kuharsky’s question about improving his judgment after trying to outrun a train at 8 years old. PK is questioning the decision to try to outrun a train, while Adoree’ thinks he made a good choice so that he could make it home on time and avoid getting in trouble.
My favorite moment in that video is when Adoree’ tells about how he asked Deshea Townsend for the phone numbers of all the defensive backs so he could text them to introduce himself and let them know he’s ready to work hard and learn from the older guys. That’s just about the coolest thing you could ask for from your rookies.
Here’s a bunch of my favorite Adoree’ Jackson tweets:
