News broke this morning that Tony Romo is going to retire from football to go into broadcasting. So yep, that means that Romo would rather retire than go play for the Texans. It’s hard to blame him!
This was a great tweet:

Romo had a great NFL career. He finishes his career as the Cowboys all-time leader in passing yards, passing touchdowns and quarterback rating.
The Texans and Broncos were both rumored to be interested in Romo’s services. He would have been a huge upgrade for either of those team when healthy, so I am not sad that he is leaving football. Anything that leaves the Texans in QB purgatory is good with me.
It hasn’t been announced yet which network he will join, but every network is probably pursuing him at this point. He will make a ton of money doing that and will probably be able to avoid any more back surgeries.
